Elcio de Sá Freitas Vice-Almirante Engenheiro Naval reformado. Master of Science in Civil Engineering e Naval Engineer pelo Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Na década de 1990 exerceu, por cinco anos, o cargo de Diretor de Engenharia Naval da Marinha do Brasil. Autor do livro “A busca de grandeza”, sobre o tema tecnologia, lançado em dezembro de 2014.

Abstract

Technology transfer is an expression that has passed from the technical-scientific vocabulary to the common language. In this evolution, its meaning became broader and not clearly defined, and its application much more general. In particular, technology transfer became an important marketing element in negotiations between developed and undeveloped countries. In this article, several aspects implied in technology transfer are examined, as well as basic principles for technology transfer negotiations in development and defense projects.
