Abstract
This paper analyzes the Revolt of Cachaça (1660-1661) of Rio de Janeiro as a conflict between the nobility of the Rio land for control of the common good which meant political and economic advantages and blessings economy. In game, the hegemony of the region of their mercantile networks in the historical context of the South Atlantic in the seventeenth century.
