Os desafios do tratamento ortodôntico em tempos de pandemia
Main Article Content
Abstract
The social isolation imposed by COVID-19 led to restricted access to some services, including the monitoring of patients undergoing orthodontic treatment. Since then, going to the office has become mandatory and necessary only in some urgent or emergency situations. The objective of this study was to present, through a literature review, the main occurrences found in the context of the pandemic of COVID-19 in the context of orthodontics, their clinical implications and the future perspectives of professionals and patients under treatment. It can be concluded that the reinforcement of biosafety practices and the development of a new alternative tool were of great importance in reducing the spread of this new virus.
