Abstract

The present article aims to reflect on the political condicions under which Brazil was found during the transition from the Empire to the Republic regime, besides the political landscapes associated with the Revolt of Armada and its echoes in the year of 1896. In this discussion, the analysis of the literary discourses contributes to enrich the comprehension sourcers of this historical theme and also to create reflection on the demands and intentions along the writing of the history.
