Archeology in the Baixo Vale do Ribeira

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to present the regional Archeology program of Baixo Vale do Ribeira, showing the nature of the research being carried out. The program is being developed in two areas: one for archaeological research and the other for extension of services to the community. The research is aimed at surveying and identifying the archaeological heritage resulting from the process of occupation of the region, including that which is currently submerged.
