  • Deisi Scunderlick Eloy de Farias Pós-doutora em Arqueologia pela Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos (2011). Doutora em História, com área de concentração em Arqueologia pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (2005). Atualmente é pesquisadora e professora titular da Universidade do Sul de Santa Catarina, onde desenvolve pesquisas no Grupep-Arqueologia e é docente no Programa de Pós Graduação em Ciências da Linguagem. Atualmente também é docente do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Arqueologia Subaquática da Universidade Autônoma de Lisboa.

Abstract

This article presents the archaeological research conducted by the project “Resgate Barra Sul”, which seeks to identify and map archaeological sites in the south bay of Florianópolis, SC. From 2006 to 2011 the researchers developed diagnostic activities and archaeological exploration with the removal of some traces that were considered at risk of predation. For the development of this first stage of the research, magnetic prospecting methods have been used, associated with investigative dives. Besides, historical research has begun, as well as the production of didactic material to promote the knowlege of underwater archaeological heritage of Brazil.
