Abstract

This work seeks to address the strategic importance of Pernambuco in the Atlantic campaign through an analysis of the everyday World War II in the Northeast. The focus is on the construction of the estado-novista Propaganda in the period 1942-1945 and its implications in the context of the Second World War. Understanding the assembly of structures and propaganda operation in Brazilian society is also part of our main objective. For this, we analyze the existing military conflict, not only by military logic, but from an approach where speeches and their dissemination in social media gain visibility in an attempt to gather population support for state purposes.
