Abstract

In this article we will analyze some aspects on attacks from German submarine U-507 around the Brazilian coast, in august 1942, near Bahia and Sergipe. Among the documents used the researchers favored official reports about submarine attacks, newspapers, memoirs, testimonials and videos-documentaries. The text highlights the scarcity of interpretations about the issue and presents some information about the destinations of the castaways and looting to the victims’ belongings.
