Abstract

Environment matter has been discussed in Brazil since 1990's, mainly for the risks to humankind living on a polluted ecosystem. The Technological Center of the Marine Corps – CTecCFN is concerned about the environment sustainability issues and is planning the chemical waste disposal for its future CBRN Analysis Laboratory. The proper laboratory waste disposal has great importance to the ecosystem. It should be avoided the disposal directly into sewers or common trash leading to environmental damages. Based on literature this study present a procedure that could help labs to elaborate a Chemical Waste Management Program, suggesting all the steps for a good management of these rejects. Literature demonstrates that the best way to develop this program includes everyone who works in this lab – researchers, technicians and trainees.
