Abstract

Chemical weapons in its classic concept are any chemicals used in military operations to kill, injure or incapacitate individuals due to their toxic effects. In recent history this weapon began to be used also by paramilitary organizations, religious sects and dictatorial governments against civilian populations. In this context, it is imperative disseminate the knowledge on preventive actions against possible attacks with chemical weapons, either in military or civilian means.
