Abstract

This study is an application of technological analysis to maritime archeology, carried out by a military historian. It has in mind, specifically, the cannons of the Portuguese galleon Santíssimo Sacramento, lost on the Brazilian coast in May 1668, and recovered by divers from the Brazilian Navy between 1976 and 1978.
