Africa and Africans in cartographic fables

Abstract

In this article, we set out to trace invention process of Africa and Africans as presented by cartographical representations. What were the forms and characteristics that would originate this specific phenomenon, as well as the paths and detours that would take it to the ocidental sphere of being and thought are some of the questions we raise.
